Anisha Pandey
Anisha, draws inspiration from multiple sources, be it her mother who struggled as a young mother, her school Principal Sister Ann Imelda, to all her friends she has ever come across. She believes that school is the place where young minds are moulded. If we want young people to grow up to be empathic, problem-solvers, who know how to work in teams and lead change, then we have to create opportunities for them to practice. School is a great place to start. Anisha completed her schooling from Carmel High School which always encourages its students to help the needy, develops compassion towards the poor and unfortunate and inculcates within them a sense of humanity. Since her secondary school days she started teaching the underprivileged children voluntarily. This is when the changemaker bug had bitten her, and she couldn’t shake it. She has participated in many programmes related to environment, anti-human trafficking campaigns, education & empowerment. Apart from being rewarded with several scholarships by the State and Central Government for her academic excellence she has also been awarded as a ‘Global Links Changemaker’ by Crummer Graduate School of Business, U.S.A and University of Calcutta, India in acknowledgement of her work as influencer and mentor as a means to bring about large-scale social change.
Her experience and qualifications in the teaching sector make her an invaluable member of the Trust. She started her journey with a simple thought of spending some quality time with kids but it has evolved into a sense of responsibility to actually work in the direction that could help them prosper in their lives.
