Sneha Pandey
After completing her Master’s degree in Business Management as well as in Commerce from University of Calcutta, Sneha started working in one of the most reputed multinational companies as a Senior Associate Analyst. Her life was as perfect as it gets. But above all the comfort and glory and after working for two years, she decided that this was not what she wanted to live for. She wanted to work on something that was more meaningful to her, and also at the same time had a direct impact on the society, rather than making a multinational company richer! Without a second thought, she bid her coveted job and joined a programme; Promoting Eco-friendly Entrepreneurship Development for Women in West Bengal, a collaborative project in the area(s) of sustainable development and community development jointly developed by the Claflin University, U.S.A. and University of Calcutta, India and started empowering women in different parts of West Bengal. Sneha says life in the mountains and villages has taught her a lot and made her own life more worthwhile. She has been working in various national and International projects since her college days and has worked in projects dealing with development issues like women rights, education, empowerment, water and sanitation, food security, entrepreneurship and livelihood development. She connects easily with rural communities and has developed many village level connections. For the last few years Sneha has been a trainer and resource person for different government and non-profit organizations & Micro Small & Medium Enterprises, Government of India.
